Title:
可変焦点レンズ
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP6611052
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a varifocal lens capable of changing a focal length at high speed without depending on polarization of incident light.SOLUTION: A varifocal lens comprises: an electro-optical material made of a single crystal having inversion symmetry; and a plurality of electrode pairs which are formed at positions severally facing a first face of the electro-optical material and a second face opposing to the first face, in which a cylindrical varifocal lens which varies a focal point of light passing through the electro-optical material by changing an applied voltage between the electrode pairs is used as a basic unit element, a polarization beam splitter, a Faraday rotation element, the basic unit element and a reflector are arrayed in order while sharing an optical axis, light of a given polarization direction which is made incident to the polarization beam splitter passes through the basic unit element after passing through the Faraday rotation element, is reflected on the reflector, passes through the basic unit element again, and passes through the Faraday rotation element to be emitted from the polarization beam splitter.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
