Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a zinc electrode of which the shape change can be suppressed; and a storage battery having a negative electrode composed of the zinc electrode.SOLUTION: A zinc electrode comprises: an active material including zinc species; and a metal adsorbent arranged by bonding functional groups having the power of adsorbing zinc to carriers. A storage battery comprises a negative electrode composed of the zinc electrode. The metal adsorbent is preferably one arranged by bonding functional groups having the power of adsorbing zinc to silica gel carriers or polymer carriers.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
