Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wind turbine generator system which can more efficiently cool down an apparatus mainly with natural wind and is highly reliable in a down wind type windmill.SOLUTION: In a wind turbine generator system which is provided with a tower 1, a nacelle 2 rotatably supported by the tower upper part, a rotor rotatably supported by the nacelle and having a hub 3 and blades 4, and a radiator 6 cooling an apparatus in the nacelle and where the rotor rotates on the leeward side of the tower and the nacelle, the radiator is arranged outside and on the windward side. On the windward side of the radiator, there are provided an intake port 7 surrounded by wall surfaces and an intake flow passage are formed in the way that a gap between the radiator and the intake port is covered by wall surfaces.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
