Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector which allows excellent conduction between a metal case and a shield plate without forming a hole (a cut-out) on the metal case, and which enables the shield plate to be appropriately fixed to the metal case.SOLUTION: A connector includes: a metal case; and a contact assembly housed in the metal case. The contact assembly includes: a resin body; a plurality of contacts fixed to the resin body; and a shield plate which is fixed to the resin body so as to block radio wave propagation between the predetermined contacts. The metal case has a first rim cover formed on its inner surface. The shield plate is provided with a second rim cover which engages with the first rim cover when the contact assembly is housed into the metal case so as to fix the metal case and the contact assembly to each other.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
