Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a turbo charger capable of keeping a small clearance between a nozzle vane and a counterpart side member with which the nozzle vane slides.SOLUTION: A turbo charger 1 is equipped with a turbine rotation-driven by exhaust gas; a pair of flow path formation wall surfaces 2a and 4a opposing to each other so as to form a flow path 9 of the exhaust gas flowing into the turbine; a nozzle vane 8 which is provided in the flow path, and can adjust its opening so as to change a cross-sectional area of the flow path; first coating layers 26a and 26b which at least partially coat at least one of a pair of sliding surfaces of the nozzle vane individually opposing to the pair of flow path formation wall surfaces; and second coating layers 28a and 28b which are provided oppositely to the first coating layers, and partially coat one of the flow path formation wall surfaces. At least ones of the first coating layers and the second coating layers include sold lubricating materials. Ones of the first coating layers and the second coating layers include first substances, and the other ones include second substances having polarities smaller than those of the first substances.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
