Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a travel control device of a vehicle, which makes a driver take over only functions in which automatic driving is determined to be difficult to continue instead of cancelling automatic driving of all driving controls and putting them under manual driving, by considering various cases on the basis of travel environment and travel information of an own vehicle, and thereby reduces driver's burden of taking over driving and improves reliability and safety of automatic driving.SOLUTION: A travel control device of a vehicle determines driving controls to be taken over by a driver on the basis of travel environment information and travel information of an own vehicle while performing automatic driving controls and notifies the driver to take over take-over driving controls which have been determined by take-over driving determination means. When the driver has taken over take-over driving controls that have been determined, it cancels automatic driving control of only the driving controls that have been taken over.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
