Abstract:
The invention relates to a back-flushable air filter (2) in particular for a vacuum cleaner. The back-flushable air filter (2) is provided with a filter element (3) for separating a dust-containing air chamber (8) and a clean air chamber (4). During the filter operation, air to be cleaned flows through the filter element in the direction from the dust-containing air chamber (8) to the clean air chamber (4), wherein the clean air chamber (4) is provided with a clean air outflow zone (5). Regardless of the special design of a device employing the air filter, the provided air filter can be back flushed, and is compatible with a plurality of devices, the clean air outflow zone (5) needs to comprise a valve element (9), the valve element (9) is designed in a way that during the back-flushing process, a bypass air inlet path (10) is opened, and the filter element (3) is back flushed through ambient air, and the bypass air inlet path is arranged at the back of the clean air outflow zone in the flow direction of the filter operation. Furthermore, the invention relates to a method for operating the back-flushable air filter.
