Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a torsion evaluation test method of a steel pipe base metal itself in which even a high-strength hardened steel pipe can be bonded properly to a bonding flange member; and to provide a test piece used therefor.SOLUTION: Both ends of a torsion test body are formed as outer diameter expansion parts EDP each having an expanded outer diameter in comparison with a steel pipe base metal part to be evaluated without enlarging the inner diameter, and bonded on the whole circumference with a bonding flange member, and then integrated into a flange torsion fatigue tester, to thereby achieve torsion fatigue evaluation of the base metal part. According to this method, a torsion fatigue test of the base metal itself which cannot be achieved hitherto can be achieved.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
