PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molding die manufacturing method capable of reflecting differences in transferability according to rugged shapes.SOLUTION: A molding die manufacturing method includes: a first step which creates a master die having a master mold face where a rugged shape is inverted from a rugged shape on a surface of an original article; a second step which measures the rugged shape on a surface of a master-die molded article that is press-molded by the master die; a third step which generates comparison information acquired by comparing the rugged shapes on the surfaces of the original article and the master-die molded article; a fourth step which acquires corrected mold face information by correcting the master mold face based on the comparison information; and a fifth step which creates a corrected die having a corrected mold face based on the acquired corrected mold face information. In the third step, a wavelength analysis is performed on the rugged shapes to generate the comparison information by making a comparison according to the wavelengths of the rugged shapes. In the fourth step, the master mold face is corrected according to the wavelengths of the rugged shapes based on the comparison information to acquire the corrected mold face.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
