Abstract:
To provide a dead chicken detection method capable of easily detecting a dead chicken.SOLUTION: A dead chicken detection method comprises: a step S21 of simultaneously imaging a same location in a cage poultry house to acquire a visible image and an infrared image; a step S22 of setting coordinates for pixels in the visible image and pixels in the infrared image; a step S23 of detecting a coordinate position of a same-color pixel formed of a pixel matching of a chicken color registered in advance from the visible image; a step S24 of detecting a coordinate position of a low-temperature pixel formed of a pixel corresponding to a temperature lower than a body temperature of an alive chicken from the infrared image; a step S25 of identifying a pixel pair formed of a same-color pixel and a low-temperature pixel that have coinciding coordinate positions; a step S28 of selecting one pixel pair out of a plurality of pixel pairs, setting the coordinate position of the selected pixel pair as a reference and setting a region having a prescribed size around the reference coordinate position, and if a number of other pixel pairs existing in the region satisfies a reference value, determining that there is a dead chicken.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
