Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device having color reproducibility adapted to gamut standard BT.2020.SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display device 1 of the present invention includes a liquid crystal panel 2 having a color filter 4, and a backlight unit 3 having a light source for irradiating the liquid crystal panel 2 with light. The liquid crystal display device 1 includes a band stop filter disposed between the liquid crystal panel 2 and the light source of the backlight unit 3, and the band stop filter includes: a first band stop filter 5 that decreases an emission spectral width of red light, green light and blue light transmitted through the color filter 4 in the light from the light source of the backlight unit 3; and a second band stop filter 6 that decreases color mixing in the emission spectra of the red light, the green light and the blue light.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
