Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress reduction of a light quantity while attaining cost reduction.SOLUTION: A light guide device 20 is applied to a light sensor 10 of a bill identification apparatus 1 for detecting optical property of a bill 2 transported along a transport path 3. The light guide device comprises a light guide body 20a comprising: an emission part 21 which is arranged so that, its longitudinal direction is orthogonal to a transport direction of the bill 2 on the transport path 3 and is near the transport path 3; a bottom part 22 facing the emission part 21; incident parts 23,24 which light from a light emission element 11 enters; and reflection parts 25, 26 for reflecting light which enters through the incident parts 23, 24 toward the bottom part 22, in which the light which enters through the incident parts 23, 24 is transmitted through the reflection part 25, 26, bottom part 22 and the emission part 21 in the order, and then is emitted from the emission part 21 to the transport path 3. A light guide body 20a comprises bottom side recess parts 222 which are disposed on the bottom part 22 with predetermined intervals, and adjust a light distribution angle of the light emitted from the emission part 21.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
