Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent overheating during high frequency dielectric heating.SOLUTION: A dryer 13 includes: a heating roller 51 coming into contact with a medium 21 to which liquid 31 adheres and conveying the medium 21 in the rotating direction; and a plurality of electrodes 52 disposed in the circumference of the heating roller 51 to generate an alternating electric field. The heating roller 51 includes a conductive member 55 coming into contact with the medium 21. A contact region R in which the conductive member 55 and the medium 21 come into contact with each other includes: a first heating region R1 that is located on the upstream side in the conveyance direction of the medium 21 and to which the alternating electric field is applied; and a second heating region R2 that is located on the downstream side in the conveyance direction of the medium 21 and to which the alternating electric field is not applied.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
