Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily improve anti-hydroplaning performance while preventing the deterioration of steering stability.SOLUTION: Since a groove depth of a lateral groove 33 is made deeper by setting a value L/M obtained by dividing a distance L by a distance M at a position P to be in a range of 0.25 to 0.45, grounding of the tread surface of a tread 24 onto a road surface is favorable, and anti-hydroplaning performance is easily improved. This causes tread rigidity and then steering stability to deteriorate. However, since a belt reinforcement layer 37 is arranged to overlap with the lateral groove 33 in a radial direction between a belt layer 21 including a carcass layer 16 and the tread 24, and a strong foundation is provided inside the lateral groove 33 in the radial direction thereof, the tread rigidity increases and the deterioration of the steering stability is prevented.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
