Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for stably manufacturing a powdery or particulate water-absorbing resin excellent in physical properties such as water absorption performance without troubles in its manufacture.SOLUTION: There is provided a manufacturing method of a water-absorbing resin including a polymerization process of obtaining a water-containing gelatinous crosslinked polymer from a droplet containing a monomer which is a raw material for the water-absorbing resin by a liquid phase droplet continuous polymerization and a drying process of continuously drying the water-containing gelatinous crosslinked polymer to obtain a powdery dried polymer, where an agitation type drier is used in at least a part of the drying process.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
