PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove scratches caused by plastic deformation.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 10 conveys a sheet P on which a toner image including a flat-shape metallic pigment is formed, fixes the toner image to the sheet P with a fixing unit 9, and when a fixing frequency to fix the toner image to the sheet P satisfies a predetermined condition with which a reduction in quality of the toner image is considered to be started, conveys, to the fixing unit 9, a blank sheet P on which a toner image is not formed in place of the sheet P on which the toner image is formed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
