Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container yard capable of improving accuracy of grasping a position of a cargo handling apparatus, and a control method for the same.SOLUTION: In a container yard 1, a portal crane 4 composed to be able to travel on a traveling surface is provided with a wireless apparatus 15 which generates coordinate information P1 and P1' on the basis of information received from an artificial satellite, and a position of the portal crane 4 is grasped by the coordinate information P1 and P1'. In a control method for the container yard 1, a host system 10 is installed in the container yard 1, and after the host system 10 acquires attitude information P5 showing an inclination of the portal crane 4 and the coordinate information P1 and P1', the host system 10 compensates the coordinate information P1 and P1' on the basis of the attitude information P5 to generate true coordinate information P6 and P6'.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
