Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ion exchange membrane electrodialyzer capable of desalination of a sample solution containing salt content to a salinity concentration at a level without damaging a vaporization nozzle of a mass spectroscope in short time.SOLUTION: There is provided an ion exchange membrane electrodialyzer having an electrodialysis tank with a container and an anode, an anion exchange membrane, a cation exchange membrane and a cathode arranged in the container in this order, inside of the container is divided into an anode room containing an anode and an electrode solution, a desalination room and a cathode room containing cathode and the electrode solution by the anion exchange membrane or the cathode exchange membrane, the desalination room has the electrodialysis tank with a sample solution introduction port and a desalination solution discharge port arranged, and a power supply for supplying electricity to the anode and the cathode, current between the anode and the cathode is current which is maintained at a prescribed constant value and the sample solution passes the desalination room only once.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
