Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an abnormal rise of temperatures of front and rear end parts of an exhaust outlet part, in a cylinder head incorporating an exhaust collecting passage.SOLUTION: Ribs 41, 42 connected to front and rear wall parts 19c, 19d of an exhaust outlet part 19 are formed on an exhaust side face 1b of a cylinder head 1. The ribs 41, 42 have base parts 41a, 42a connected to up-and-down parts of the front and rear wall parts 19c, 19d as a whole, and overhang parts 41b, 42b extending in a back and forth directions from upper end parts of the base parts 41a, 42a. An upper cooling water jacket is located at a rear of the overhang parts 41b, 42b. Since the ribs 41, 42 function as heat radiation passages, heat is radiated from the front and rear wall parts 19c, 19d to the cooling water of the cooling water jacket, and thus, heat-exchange is properly performed. Accordingly, an abnormal rise of temperatures of the front and rear wall parts 19c, 19d of the exhaust outlet part 19 can be prevented.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
