Abstract:
The invention relates to: an epoxy resin and a fully modified epoxy resin having low solubility in liquid crystals and low viscosity, wherein the epoxy resin is obtained by adding an alkylene carbonate or haloalcohol compound to a phenol compound having one or more phenolic hydroxyl groups and further glycidyl etherifying, and the modified epoxy resin is obtained by modifying this epoxy resin by a carboxylic acid, carboxylic anhydride, or phenol compound; and a curable composition including the epoxy resin and fully modified epoxy resin.
