Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ring oscillator in which the frequency is stabilized, and highly accurate oscillation output can be obtained therefrom.SOLUTION: A ring oscillator has a ring oscillation unit constituted by cascading odd number of stages of inverters 11, 12, 13, operating with the internal power supply voltage of a regulator 1 as a power supply, in ring-shape, and a delay circuit constituted by resistive elements R1, R2 and R3 connected among the inverters, first capacitors C11, C21 and C31, and second capacitors C12, C22 and C32. The output from each inverter becomes the input to the inverter of the next stage via each resistive element. The input node of each inverter is connected with the internal power supply voltage via the first capacitor, and grounded via a second capacitor having the same capacitance value as that of the first capacitor, and the inversion voltage of all the inverters is one half of the internal power supply voltage.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
