PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to appropriately calculate a drawing color even when the line drawing is affected by a background color.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus of an embodiment comprises: a line drawing detection part that detects line drawings from an input image; a line drawing color calculation part 21 that calculates a line drawing color that is the color of the line drawing for each of the line drawings detected by the line drawing detection part; a background color calculation part 22 that calculates a background color that is the color of an area adjacent to the line drawing; and a line drawing color correction part 24 that corrects the line drawing color according to the background color.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
