Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use a molded article model composed of thermoplastic resin not crosslinking after curing, and let the molded article model be heated and melt in order to suppress an expansion load on a casting mold until burning and gasification, and thereby prevent breakage of the casting mold.SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing a molded article model 12 for manufacturing a cast product includes the steps of: laminate-molding a molded article model 12 composed of thermoplastic resin into a hollow by using a heat dissolution lamination method with a three-dimensional printer 13 in order to manufacture a cast product 11 according to a lost wax process; and coating paraffinic wax or carnauba wax on a surface of the molded article model 12. Further, a cavity is formed within the molded article model 12, thickness of a wall of the molded article model 12 is formed to be at least 0.4 mm, and a ratio of the cavity is 20% or more when a total cubic volume of the molded article model 12 is 100%.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
