Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a seat trim cover that can easily improve the quality of appearance.SOLUTION: A trim cover 4 is formed by joining a plurality of pieces together. The plurality of pieces include a pair of symmetrical pieces 11, 12 arranged on opposite sides of a center plane S perpendicular to the seat width direction, and a connecting piece 13 joined to corresponding edges 11b, 12b of the pair of symmetrical pieces 11, 12. A method for manufacturing the trim cover includes the steps of: integrally cutting a pair of symmetrical pieces 11, 12 and one or more connecting pieces 14 to connect the pair of symmetrical pieces 11, 12 with each other, from a sheet of genuine leather fabric L3; joining the connecting piece 13 to corresponding edges 11b, 12b of each of the pair of symmetrical pieces 11, 12 that have been cut; and cutting away the connecting piece 14 connecting the pair of symmetrical pieces 11, 12 to which the connecting piece 13 have been joined together.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
