Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a constant velocity universal joint that can be adapted for a high speed application while keeping a stable seal performance without decreasing a lubrication performance within a joint main body by preventing flowing-out of grease to a seal device.SOLUTION: This invention relates to a constant velocity universal joint in which a shaft of an inner joint member is fitted and a center of curvature of a track groove of an outer joint member and a center of curvature of a track groove of the inner joint member are offset only by an equal distance at an opposite side in an axial direction in respect to the center of the joint. In this invention, the center of curvature of the track groove of the outer joint member is offset to the counter-shaft side than the center of the joint. Further, the center of curvature of the track groove of the inner joint member is offset to the shaft side than the center of the joint. A joint opening part at the shaft fitting side is sealed by the seal device.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
