Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a pressure detector and its control method that can reduce power consumption in a state where pressure is not applied.SOLUTION: A pressure detector comprises: a sensor array in which a plural of cells composed of a pressure sensor for detecting a pressure and for outputting a pressure signal according to the detected pressure value, and of a first transistor for switching on/off the connection between the pressure sensor and the signal output line are arranged in a matrix; a gate driver for driving the first transistor through a gate line; a readout section for reading a pressure signal via a signal output line; and a control section for controlling the gate driver and the readout section. When the pressure sensor of the cell does not detect the pressure for a certain period of time, the control section shifts the pressure detector to a standby state in which driving and reading are performed only for a predetermined specific cell.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
