Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in which factors serving errors of velocity detection when detecting a velocity from an incremental type rotary encoder of a two-phase output are a fluctuation between the two-phase outputs of the incremental type rotary encoder, deformation of a two-phase output waveform by an interface circuit built in by a velocity detection device, a length of a signal line path between the incremental type rotary encoder and the velocity detection device, an ambient temperature and the like.SOLUTION: Four pulse outputs are obtained from a two-phase output of an incremental type rotary encoder. Four rotary position counters are provided that count these four pulse outputs as an input. A rotation velocity is continuously detected from the four rotary position counters, which in turn solves the problem.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
