Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a casting apparatus and a casting method that are capable of casting a metal plate excellent in surface quality, and a metal plate surface smoothing tool used therefor.SOLUTION: This metal plate casting apparatus that casts a metal plate by cooling a molten metal is provided with: a moving-type bottom wall on which the molten metal is moved and cooled; a pair of side walls that partition the lateral side of the bottom wall; a molten metal supply unit that supplies the molten metal to a molten metal basin surrounded by the bottom wall and the side walls; a rear weir member provided on the upstream side of the molten metal supply position of the molten metal supply unit; and an immersion member as a surface smoothing tool that has a height lower than the height of the molten metal in the molten metal basin and that is installed in the moving direction of the molten metal from the end of the rear weir member on the bottom wall side to extend in the width direction of the molten metal basin.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
