Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas detector with which it is possible to easily obtain the aptitude information of gas detection with high accuracy.SOLUTION: A gas detector T0 includes an imaging device DU and an absorber OE. The imaging device DU forms an infrared image of a subject and detects, from the infrared image, a gas that is the object to be detected in the subject. The absorber OE has an infrared absorption characteristic that corresponds to the gas. The imaging device DU forms information that indicates the aptitude of gas detection on the basis of a difference between a first infrared image acquired by imaging via the absorber OE and a second infrared image acquired by imaging without going through the absorber OE, and outputs the resultant information.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
