PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve safety in a valve maintenance work.SOLUTION: A work support device comprises: a precaution storage part 2 for storing a name or an ID of a chemical substance which flows in a valve as a precaution of each valve which may become a candidate of maintenance; a flow channel information storage part 3 for storing information of a flow channel where each valve is provided; a first precaution inquiry part 5 for acquiring from the precaution storage part 2, a precaution corresponding to the ID of the valve which is a maintenance object input from an object valve ID input part 4; a system confirmation part 6 for, based on the input ID of the valve and information of the flow channel information storage part 3, extracting an ID of another valve which is installed in the same flow channel where the valve identified by the input ID is installed; a second precaution inquiry part 7 for acquiring from the precaution storage part 2, a precaution corresponding to the extracted ID of the valve; and a precaution presentation part 8 for presenting the precautions acquired by the first and second precaution inquiry parts 5, 7.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
