Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antenna characteristic measurement device capable of correcting radiowave intensity measurements by regularly measuring radiowave intensities and variations in optical fiber transmission line losses.SOLUTION: An antenna characteristic measurement device comprises: an optical electric-field sensor head 12 disposed in the vicinity of each antenna; a modulation light source 14 for supplying input light; input/output optical fibers 21, each being configured to transmit the input light to a respective optical electric-field sensor head and to transmit modulated light to an O/E converter 15; a reference light source 16 configured to supply light of a wavelength different from that of the modulation light source 14; and an FBG 20 disposed between each pair of the optical electric-field sensor head 12 and input/output optical fiber 21. A reference signal generated by the reference light source 16 is fed to the input/output optical fibers 21, and intensities of reflected reference light coming back from the FBGs 20 are detected and compared with intensities of the modulated light to correct radiowave intensity measurements that are dependent on losses of the respective input/output optical fibers 21.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
