Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image heating device for suppressing a separation failure of a recording material at a downstream end of a nip part even for long-term use.SOLUTION: The image heating device includes: a pressure body coming into press-contact with a rotation body through an endless belt to form a nip part and including an elastic pad and a separation member supporting the elastic pad to separate a recording material from the rotation body on a downstream side of the nip part; an L-shaped plate spring member with a first area of an upstream side including a first end part and a second area of a downstream side including a second end part bent at a prescribed position between the first end part and the second end part to support the pressure body in the second area; and fixing member for fixing at least a portion of the first area with the second end part in the plate spring member is in a state of a free end in a cross section perpendicular to a longer direction and fixing the separation member at a position closer to an upstream side than the center position of the nip part through the plate spring member.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
