Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize sliding resistance of a piston while maintaining sealability even when a foreign object is caught between a cup seal and a cylinder body in a cylinder device in which the cup seal for sealing an annular liquid chamber and an annular air chamber is mounted in an annular seal groove on the inner periphery of a cylinder hole.SOLUTION: A cup seal 44A is formed so as to integrally have: an annular base part 49 forming annular gaps 47, 48 between an outer periphery of a piston 10 and an outer peripheral side wall 46c; an inner peripheral lip part 50 which extends from the inner peripheral side of the base part 49 toward an inner side wall 46a, and in which a part of an inner peripheral opposing surface 50a resiliently comes into contact with the outer periphery of the piston 10; an outer peripheral lip part 51 which extends from the outer peripheral side of the base part 49 toward the inner side wall 46a, and in which a part 51c of an outer peripheral opposing surface 51a resiliently comes into contact with the outer peripheral side wall 46c; and an annular projection 52A projecting from the outer peripheral side of the base part 49 on the opposite side of the outer peripheral lip part 51 and resiliently coming into contact with an outer side wall 46b.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
