Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique adapted for the reduction in size of a power inverter circuit.SOLUTION: In a first arm 4, a first parallel connection body c1 and a second parallel connection body c2 are connected. In a second arm 5, a third parallel connection body c3 and a fourth parallel connection body c4 are connected. In a third arm 6, a fifth parallel connection body c5, a sixth parallel connection body c6, a seventh parallel connection body c7, and an eighth parallel connection body c8 are connected in this order. In the sixth parallel connection body c6 a sixth switching element 2f and a sixth diode 3f are inversely connected in parallel. In the seventh parallel connection body c7, a seventh switching element 2g and a seventh diode 3g are inversely connected in parallel. A control device 30 provides a first non-switching period as a period of a half-period or more of an alternating voltage, in which the sixth switching element 2f does not switch, and provides a second non-switching period as a period or more of the half-period of the alternating voltage, in which the seventh switching element 2g does not switch.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
