Abstract:
To more easily improve sensing sensitivity in a sensing element using a split ring resonator.SOLUTION: A sensing element includes a split ring resonator 101, a transmission line 103 and a sensing region 104. The split ring resonator 101 is constituted of a metal pattern having a gap 102 in a part thereof and has a wiring pattern formed into a polygon in a plan view; the gap 102 is formed in one of a plurality of sides of the polygon formed by the wiring pattern; and a transmission line 103 is electromagnetically coupled with the split ring resonator 101 and is electromagnetically coupled in at least two of sides except one side including the gap 102 of the split ring resonator 101.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
