Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of forming groove/hole in seabed, which is small in size and easy-to-handle especially suitable for drilling work on a shallow seabed of 1 m or less requiring no drilling vessel equipped with engine pump at a low cost.SOLUTION: The method includes: a jet-propulsion watercraft such as small watercraft which navigates on the water by the reaction by ejecting water flow backwards; and drilling means that uses water flow (jet water) ejected from the jet-propulsion watercraft. A part of water flow ejected from the jet-propulsion watercraft fed to the drilling means to drill a groove or hole.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
