Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To establish an easy opening/closing operation of a sliding door that is configured to manipulate a latch at an edge member which is easier to manipulate the latch than another edge member at which the latch is provided.SOLUTION: A fitting 1 includes a latch receiver 42 provided in a frame body 10. A latch 41, which is provided on a first edge member 31, moves to an engagement position for engagement with the latch receiver 42 and to a release position for disengagement from the latch receiver 42. A manipulation member 2, which is provided on a second edge member 32, moves to a first position where the latch 41 is disposed at the engagement position and to a second position where the latch 41 is disposed at the release position. An interlock mechanism 50 causes the latch 41 to move from the engagement position to the release position in conjunction with the movement of the manipulation member 2 from the first position to the second position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
