Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a time lag ranging from an instruction to start fuel injection against a fuel injection valve to an actual starting of fuel injection without producing any useless consumption of fuel or a driver's fatigue feeling.SOLUTION: An engine control device of this invention comprises a fuel injection valve 6 for use in injecting fuel supplied to a combustion chamber 2; a fuel injection control means 31 for use in controlling the fuel injection valve 6; and a cylinder inner pressure information taking means 32 for getting information about the cylinder inner pressure of the combustion chamber 2. The fuel injection valve 6 has a characteristic requiring a predetermined time Tunder control of electrical energization for a driving circuit 6a starting from an execution of fuel injection or stopped and from the starting of electrical energization for the driving circuit 6a to inject fuel, the fuel injection control means 31 performs an intermittent electrical energization for a minimum time less than a predetermined time Tagainst the driving circuit 6a so as to increase or decrease the continuous time of electrical energization of minimum time per once on the basis of information about a requisite injection pattern against the fuel injection valve 6 and the cylinder inner pressure.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
