Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light transmitter capable of monitoring a light output of a laser diode correctly, and an optical module including the same.SOLUTION: A light transmitter and an optical module including the light transmitter are disclosed according to embodiments of the present invention. The light transmitter comprises: a support substrate; a temperature control module disposed on the support substrate; a submount disposed on the temperature control module; a prism disposed on the temperature control module and having an inclined plane; a light-receiving element disposed on the temperature control module; a light-emitting element disposed on the submount; and a thermistor disposed on the submount. The light-receiving element is spaced apart from the submount in a first direction. The prism is disposed between the light-receiving element and the submount. Part of first light emitted from the light-emitting element is reflected by the inclined plane of the prism, and part of the first light passes through the prism, which is then received by the light-receiving element.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
