Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a zoom objective lens for microscopy, which offers reduced manufacturing cost when produced with a minimal structural dimensions, and a constant working distance which keeps an object in focus while changing magnification.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a zoom objective lens with continuously adjustable magnification, comprising five lens groups G, G, G, G, G. The first lens group G, the second lens group G, and the fifth lens group Gare configured to be fixed relative to an object O, while the third lens group Gand the fourth lens group Gare configured to be axially displaceable. The zoom objective lens satisfies conditions described as follows: a variable air gap Lbetween the second lens group Gand the third lens group Gdecreases or has a turning point on a transition from a low magnification β to a high magnification β; the second, third, and fifth lens groups G, G, Ghave positive refractive power; and the fourth lens group Ghas negative refractive power.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
