Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solidification method of radioactive waste that prevents expansion due to a solid body formation reaction with radioactive waste containing sodium sulfate as a main component, reduces its volume, maintains strength over a long period, can create a stable solidified body, and performs quick processing with fewer steps.SOLUTION: A solidification method of radioactive waste heats sodium sulfate of 100 pts. wt. in dry state conversion, and radioactive waste with water content adjusted so that it contains 130-400 pts. wt. water to 32°C or more, and for the radioactive effluent, mixes together and solidifies 30-90 pts. wt. silica fume, 0.3-5.2 pts. wt. hexametaphosphate soda, and 170-230 pts. wt. cement.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
