Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel battery in which a membrane electrode assembly is protected from being dried at neighborhood of a cathode entrance manifold.SOLUTION: A fuel battery 1 comprises: a fuel gas passage Ga in which an anode side separator 40a includes a plurality of grooves 43 and 45 in which a convexoconcave is alternately arranged and defined on a membrane electrode gas diffusion layer assembly side; and a fuel gas inlet manifold a3 and a fuel gas outlet manifold a4 in which a fuel gas is circulated. The fuel gas outlet manifold a4 is arranged near from an oxidation gas inlet manifold c3 from an oxidation gas outlet manifold c4. The width of the plurality of grooves 44 and 46 in a coolant passage is larger than that of a region separated from the region near from the oxidation gas inlet manifold c3. The fuel gas passage Ga comprises a closing part 431 that closes the groove 43 of the fuel gas passage Ga in the region near from the oxidation gas inlet manifold c3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
