Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal combustion engine having an exhaust gas aftertreatment system and a plurality of cylinders.SOLUTION: An internal combustion engine (1) includes at least one catalyst converter (9) disposed inside of at least one reaction chamber (10), an exhaust gas supply conduit (8) communicated to each of the reaction chambers and each of catalyst converters, and an exhaust gas discharge conduit (11) extended to be separated from the reaction chambers and the catalyst converters. The internal combustion engine has at least one exhaust gas manifold (4) shared by a group of cylinders (7), and exhaust gas discharged from the exhaust gas manifolds can be guided through the exhaust gas aftertreatment system (3), that is, through each of the reaction chambers and each of the SCR catalyst converters, and through at least one exhaust gas turbocharger (5) of an exhaust gas supercharging system (2) at a downstream side of the exhaust gas aftertreatment system (3).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
