Abstract:
To provide a reactive armor module allowing protection against a tandem warhead, and improving and enhancing sensitivity of an existing reactive armor module to withstand an impact of the tandem warhead.SOLUTION: A reactive armor module and a method for providing protection against a tandem warhead is provided, wherein the tandem warhead is to provide a main explosion following a primary delay subsequently after a small preset delay, and the method includes steps of: detecting the primary explosion; and detonating a directed blast at the end of the small preset delay to disrupt a secondary explosion.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
