Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating chromium and phosphorous-containing waste water that is capable of suppressing contamination of chromium into sludge including a phosphorous-containing insoluble material.SOLUTION: The method for treating the chromium and phosphorous-containing waste water, comprises a phosphorous-containing insoluble material generating step of, after oxidizing a trivalent chromium in the waste water to a hexavalent chromium in an oxidation treatment tank 10, making the waste water react with a calcium compound to generate the phosphorous-containing insoluble material in a Ca reaction tank 12; a first solid-liquid separation step of carrying out a solid-liquid separation of the waste water including the phosphorous-containing insoluble material to separate into the sludge including the phosphorous-containing insoluble material and a first treated water in a first solid-liquid separation tank 18; a chromium-containing insoluble material generating step of making the first treated water react with a reductant, thereby reducing the hexavalent chromium to the trivalent chromium, to generate a chromium-containing insoluble material in a reduction treatment tank 20; and a second solid-liquid separation step of carrying out the solid-liquid separation of the first treated water including the chromium-containing insoluble material to separate into the sludge including the chromium-containing insoluble material and a second treated water in a second solid-liquid separation tank 26.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
