Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser beam machine in which relative movement motion of a head is hard to become unstable.SOLUTION: The laser beam machine comprises: a laser beam machining head (1) having a sensor (1a) which exits laser beam (LS) to a workpiece (W) and measures a distance between the sensor and the workpiece (W) in a prescribed detection range (AC) of a surface of the workpiece (W); and a control part (CT) which performs control in such a manner that: the laser beam machining head (1) performs, not exiting laser beam (LS), profiling motion above an original point (Kb1) which is a position where the whole of the prescribed detection range (AC) is included in a portion where the workpiece (W) is present, so that the workpiece (W) has a prescribed profiling height; and thereafter, the laser beam machining head (1) relatively moves to above a start point (A1) of a preset laser beam machining route (Ka) while maintaining the profiling height; and laser beam (LS) is exited when the laser beam machining head reaches above the laser beam machining start point (A1); and the laser beam machining head (1) is relatively moved on the laser beam machining route (Ka).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
