Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power factor improvement device into which a three-phase current is input, for surely improving power factor and for conducting stable power conversion with a simple structure and operation.SOLUTION: A power factor improvement device comprises: a first, a second and a third input ends a, b, c into which a three-phase alternating current is input; a positive electrode output end p and a negative electrode output end n connected to a load; three reactors La, Lb, Lc, each one end of which connect to the first, the second and the third input ends; one or a plurality of switching elements having one end D applied with voltages from each other end of three reactors, another end S connected to the negative output end n, and a control end G for switch control; a first, a second and a third rectification means D1, D2, D3, one ends of which are applied with the voltages from each of other ends of three reactors and to which a current running to the positive electrode output end p can be respectively conducted; and a smoothing capacitor C connected between the positive electrode output end p and the negative electrode output end n. The control end of the one or the plurality of switching elements is controlled by a control signal having a constant duty ratio.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
