Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positive electrode for a lithium ion secondary battery, which is superior in discharge rate characteristic.SOLUTION: Disclosed is a positive electrode for a lithium ion secondary battery having a power-generating element sealed in an outer packaging body, provided that the power-generating element is arranged by laminating positive and negative electrodes through an electrolyte layer, and the positive electrode has a positive electrode active material layer disposed on a current collector and including a positive electrode active material, and the negative electrode has a negative electrode active material layer disposed on a current collector and including a negative electrode active material. The positive electrode active material includes a first active material, and a second active material lower than the first active material in the electrode potential on lithium metal. A content of the second active material per unit volume at a location close to the electrolyte layer is larger than a content of the second active material at a location far from the electrolyte layer.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
