PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage device improved in response performance to a read request.SOLUTION: The storage device has a management table for managing an input/output pattern of write data received from a host terminal. Then, the storage device analyzes the input/output pattern of the write data, writes an analysis result in the management table, determines the size of a block for compressing the write data with reference to the management table, compresses the write data to the determined size of a block, and writes compressed data in a physical memory.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
