Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique which improves the appearance of a print image by suppressing the deviation in an error in an image formation apparatus for performing density correction.SOLUTION: A printer 100 forms a pattern image 28, reads it and acquires the output density of each gradation from the density of the read pattern image 28. The printer 100 creates a calibration table 71 on the basis of the acquired output density and the target density T of each gradation. When creating the calibration table 71, the printer 100 calculates the correction output density Q on the basis of the output density and error information of the gradation correction gradation of which has been already decided, decides the gradation having the density closest to the target density of the specific gradation to the correction gradation of the specific gradation out of the calculated correction output density Q, and stores information based on the difference between the target density of the specific gradation and the output density of the decided correction gradation as error information of the specific gradation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
